A memoir
The Long Way Home
Some roads only make sense when you look back.
Breaking the cycles that nearly cost him everything — a memoir of faith, failure, family, and redemption by Kevin Bush.
About the book
A journey you won't forget
For most of his life, Kevin Bush believed he was a good husband, father, and provider. He worked hard, loved his family, and thought he was doing everything he was supposed to do. Then, in a matter of days, the life he had built began to unravel.
The Long Way Home is not a marriage manual or a self-help book. It is an honest memoir of a man uncovering the emotional patterns he unknowingly inherited, the damage those patterns caused, and the difficult process of taking responsibility for them.
Millions of men quietly struggle with emotional distance, unresolved childhood wounds, and the belief that providing financially is the same as being emotionally present. This book is for anyone who has ever felt lost — and dared to believe they might find their way back.
Sometimes losing everything is the only way to finally see what truly matters.
— Kevin Bush, The Long Way Home
About the author
Kevin Bush
Kevin Bush is a construction safety and operations leader with more than thirty years of experience leading teams and developing people. For much of his life, he measured success by hard work, responsibility, and providing for those he loved. It was only after his marriage reached a breaking point that he began to recognize the emotional wounds and generational patterns he had unknowingly carried for decades. That painful awakening became the foundation for The Long Way Home.
I wrote this book because I had to. Because the only way I knew how to make sense of what happened was to put it into words — slowly, honestly, one page at a time.
